There are two types of Roof Garden Systems:

1. Extensive Roof Gardens
Extensive roof gardens are typically low profile, very lightweight with 100mm to 200mm of growing media (soils). The extensive roof gardens are not designed for any people or furniture – they are purely to be viewed and they require little to no maintenance. 2. Intensive Roof Gardens
Intensive roof gardens are trafficable and can accommodate a variety of plants from turf through to advanced trees. Intensive gardens have a growing media depth of 200mm or more, depending on the root ball of selected plants and the load bearing capacity of the roof. Typically these gardens are designed by landscape architects, constructed by landscape contractors and Fytogreen supplies the growing mediums.(More....)
