Adding Hydrocell to establish new garden beds
Your garden beds will flourish on less water and and suffer less heat stress when you add Hydrocell.
Follow our simple step-by-step guide...
Step 1: Prepare Garden bed area by rotary hoeing the in-situ top soil. Or get Hydrocell premixed top soil and spread over the area from your state wide distributor.
Step 2: To prevent airborne dust, take your bulka bag of Hydrocell to the area, open and wet the contents with a hose for up to 5 minutes.
Step 3: Spread Hydrocell at a rate approximately 2 cm thick over the prepared top soil. 100lt Bag will cover 5 m2. 1000lt bulka bag will cover 50m2.
Step 4: Rotary Hoe Hydrocell to a depth of 100mm of the top soil with 1 pass of the rotary hoe.
Step 5: Water, plant and mulch as normal.
Adding Hydrocell to existing gardens
Step 1: To prevent airborne dust, take your bag of Hydrocell to the planting area, open, and wet the contents with a hose for up to 2 minutes.
Step 2: Dig a trench to spade depth and spade width alongside your established plants taking care not to damage any roots.
Step 3: Add Hydrocell to the hole and fill almost to the top.
Step 4: Blend with soil to cover.
Step 5: Water area well.
Step 6: Mulch thickly (7-10 cm is ideal,
and water well again.
