Giffon Park - Goal Squares

In 2004 Giffon park which is the practise field for Brisbane Lions Footy team was renovated using Hydrocell. This high wear area was re-turfed regularly as it gets many playing hours per week.

Using a rotary hoe pre wet Hydrocell was incorporated in to the top 100mm top soil at a rate of 30% by volume. 1000lt bulka bag covers 33 square metres.

Freshly laid turf is grown in as normal.

The benefits are quicker establishment of grass, less water use and reduced compaction can double the time between re-turfing events.
