In 2005 750m2 of a sloping approach to the 11th Green was renovated using Hydrocell at 20% by volume, incorporated in to the top 100mm depth of the top soil.
After establishment the turf flourished through out the whole area.
The newly established turf with Hydrocell (in the background) also demonstrated how Hydrocell reduces browning of drain lines, without compromising the hydraulic Conductivity of the drainage sands. The fairway (in the foreground) shows the brown drain lines clearly stopping where the renovation started. |
